Where is the Place to Enjoy the Most Popular Nature Views in Ubud?

Have you prepared your Ubud Bali traveling itinerary but the news of Mount Agung status part 2 make you hesitate to go? Well, you don’t have to worry! Even after Mount Agung erupted for the second times, the government still encourages everyone to visit the island. They said Bali is safe particularly all areas outside the radius of 7-15 km, and even the international airport still operate. Since Ubud is 35 km away from the mount, you can include this spot to your trip and ensure to stop by to these following destinations:

1. Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary

Located in Padang Tegal village, you can reach the forest after an hour driving from the airport. Here, you can enjoy the 360 degree-green views and meet cute grey-haired macaques from a total of 600 populations living in the forest. Visitors are recommend to feed them only with fruits like banana, not peanuts and other human snacks. Since by the forest is sanctified by the locals, the visitors should keep their good manner while visit the area. During your visit, you can also find three temples in the forest including the main temple, Beji temple, and Prajapati temple, although they are only open for those who want to pray.

2. Campuhan Ridge Walk

For you who love to enjoy hiking track, Campuhan Ridge Walk is a perfect destination to spend your holiday in Ubud. Along the 9-kilometers trail, you can enjoy the great greenery view with cool fresh air, especially in early morning or late afternoon. On the start of the road, you will also find a small bridge that brings you across the Campuhan river to Gunung Lebah temple. Usually, people will take the starting point from near Warwick Ibah villa and take the track back to Ibah. However, for those who want more challenging track, they can continue walk to Payogan hills.

3. Tegallalang Rice Terrace

If you want to retreat from the polluted-city life, you should visit Tegallalang rice terrace in the north of Ubud. Since Ubud has several hillsides areas, locals cultivate the areas into rice terrace field for centuries. Here is a great scenic area to take photos. Moreover, when you are lucky, some old farmers might invite you and learn how to plant rice or simply enjoy the green coconut. You should also visit Pakudui village in Tegallalang. The locals have great skills in making wood carvings and other woodworks which you can purchase one as the souvenir.

4. Tegenungan Waterfall

Located between Ubud and Denpasar, Tegenungan waterfall is quite famous destination to enjoy water attraction. After driving for about half-an-hour to the southeast from Ubud, you will be welcomed by the sound of water falling with rocking hills surrounding the waterfall. There are lots of local stalls and restaurant in the entrance, so you don't have to worry about place for lunch.

5. Bali Eco Tours

Want to learn the real Bali while moving your body? Well, Bali eco-tour is the most recommended thing to do in Ubud. You can join the cycling tour to several tourist areas. The visitors will follow the friendly guides who will tell  them all about the culture in Bali. You can choose to take half a day or full day tour to meet your travel schedule.
